Like many doulas, my call to this work started in 2007 after the birth of my first baby, Luca. I found myself at home alone with a tiny newborn and a painful c-section scar, struggling to breastfeed, and not knowing who to call for help. As my family grew, I became more and more passionate about all things postpartum. In 2013, I became certified as a Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator and have supported over 125 families! In 2021, I obtained an additional certification as as an Infant & Family Sleep Educator.
The importance of a support system in those early days can’t be understated, and it can be hard to ask for help. As a seasoned doula and mom of 3, I firmly believe that there is not “right” way to parent. My goal as a doula is to meet you where you are and offer support, strategies, and solutions, in order to give you the confidence to find what works for your family. I prioritize staying on top of the latest research and products in order to give families the best opportunity to make educated decisions.
When I am not working as a doula, I love to spend time with my family enjoying the outdoors in and out of Colorado (we have been to 21 national parks and counting!!) , traveling, sharing meals together, and spending time at home with our rescue pets.
